Boston Temple

On Friday morning, Rebecca was volunteering at school, David tending the kids, and we had the opportunity to do a couple of endowment sessions at the Boston Temple. We ended the visit by eating codfish bisque for lunch at the temple cafeteria.

This temple is very pretty and in an attractive setting on the highest point on a prominent ridge. It is mid-sized, reminding me of the Oquirrh Mountain temple in its internal layout and functionality, with a grand staircase and two double ordinance rooms. Like the DC temple, it sits on a major expressway, and appears suddenly and grandly as you drive along.

We also helped Isaac celebrate his 6th birthday this day.

In the afternoon, we took a drive with the whole family going along both sides of the Charles River to and from Boston. We passed Harvard, MIT, and Boston U. The river scene was quite pretty, and the fall leaves were still colorful even though, perhaps, were a few days past their prime. The weather was much cooler starting with this day.
