Christmas Kick-off 2015

We had a happy gathering for Christmas Kickoff at the Cabin on Friday night and Saturday morning, Dec 4th and 5th.  36 family members came including 31 who stayed overnight.  Thanks to Matthew for the pictures.

Chosen at random(???) after finding almonds in their desserts, Ben L. and Callie (Kim's niece) were the King and Queen.  They led a Grand Parade singing carols all around the cabin, upstairs and downstairs, on the deck.  They also passed the First Gifts of the season from their Grandpa and Grandma.  Here are others enjoying their Cherry Crunch:

Erin has somehow acquired 2 of the First Gifts, and is demonstrating how light can penetrate her ears.

Quin is letting down our Pinata, which looks like a Christmas present. It turned out to be quite stubborn in letting down its contents.  Almost everyone from the youngest to the oldest whaled away at it with a plastic bat.

Jon was in charge of the blindfold and point the batters toward? their victim.

Finally 12 pounds of candy poured out onto the floor.

Another highlight was the big White Elephant Gift Exchange.  So many wonderful things, such as the can of okra with corn and tomatoes.  And see Quin's antlers.

We are glad that Ben came with Megan.

Big Rook game in the morning.  Many in this same group worked far into the night on a jig-saw puzzle.  And we didn't mention the 20 voice choir that performed the Hallelujah Chorus in the evening.
