Boise is closing July 1st for seismic upgrading. According to one of the workers it is quite busy and they need the new Meridian ID temple to meet the demand of members for temple resources. They have 30 stakes in their temple district which goes up to LeGrande OR, but most of these members live in the Boise vicinity.
Twin Falls temple serves 13 stakes. In talking about that temple, one of the workers said with great emotion, “We never thought that we would have a temple.” It is a beautiful thing how people love their temples. I had the thought that this example of the importance of temples was another instance of a truth that is not recognized through the intellect.
