Labor day picnic

All of our Utah County families met at the Spanish Oaks reservoir in the late morning. Some of us fished. Matthew finally had some success fishing by the outlet with powerbait. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and had lunch together.

This reservoir is up the hill above where David and Rebecca had their Spanish Fork house. It has concrete banks, except for a sandy beach area on the west side nearest to the parking lot. Just above are a children's play area and camping and picnic sites (most of these are in the oak brush and not too attractive on a hot day).

It has a pretty view out over Utah Valley to the north, especially in the evening.
