President Nelson Story

We heard another fun President Nelson story at our temple shift preparation meeting on Thursday.  President Christianson reported that Elder Oaks had been in the temple the day before to set apart some sealers.  His wife was with him and they came early enough to be able to attend an endowment session before they met with the new sealers.  As they arrived they met briefly with the temple leadership, then were preparing to perform the endowment.  President Christianson told us that Elder Oaks has a bad back, so he offered to direct the Oaks to the elevator so he wouldn’t have to walk up the big staircase that leads to the chapel.  President Oaks thanked him but said he would still take the stairs, “President Nelson would be very unhappy to learn that we took the elevator.”
